2016 Expanding Circles of Gratitude

Happy New Year!

What can I say about 2016? Travel-wise, it was amazing; we went to South Africa, Dubai, England, Nashville, North Carolina, New York and Florida, won Reader's Choice in Creative Loafing Atlanta and got mentioned in Atlanta Magazine's Best of 2016 edition. We tried new things and had to let some things go that weren't working. We met new creatives and expanded circles of professional and personal contacts.

2016 was a year of both tragedy and triumph. I lost my father yet gained friendships. My FIL was diagnosed with ALS, but continues to exhibit generosity and kindness to others. My sister had major brain surgery but shines her light with her humor and sweet smile.  I learned that just because I try to be a good person, it doesn't mean that bad things won't happen or that life will always be easy. I take it as it comes and remain grateful, even when things don't go my way. So I choose gratitude, I choose joy. I choose to look for lessons where they may be difficult to find. Cheers to 2017.
