It doesn't get any better than Northern California. It's one of my favorite spots on earth; the weather, the food, the friendly people, and the leather. Yep, the leather. Northern California's Napa valley once had tannery row, but now is home to my favorite leather distributor. That is reason enough for me to visit anytime. Plus, In-N-Out Burger!
The first two days in San Francisco, we Cal-trained, Ubered, and walked our way through a caffeinated frenzy; Fisherman's Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, China Town and Haight-Ashbury. The best dim sum ever in China Town at Great Eastern! Alcatraz and Little Italy were our last stops Sunday. So much was left to explore-especially Golden Gate Park.
On Monday in San Jose, I met up with Kristine and Anh-Thy, two lovely local San Jose ladies I met via Instagram. We had a morning photo shoot and it was so much fun! We shot three looks. Follow them on instagram @anhthyhohoho and @cloverade
Tuesday was the most exciting day of this trip for me because I got to drive up to Napa to meet with my longtime vendor Sal. I got to shop at one of the best leather supply houses EVER. It was EPIC. Three warehouse buildings with shelving stacked to the ceiling with all types of leather from American bison, chrome tans, vegetable tans and oil tans. Leathers for car upholstery, furniture reupholstering, bags, chaps, belts and more. You name it, for whatever purpose, it was there. In any color. So, when I was offered free shipping from Sal, I picked out 5 hides and rolled them out to view immediately. Wouldn't you?
